I signed up for the Susan G Komen 5k for the cure locally here in Sacramento. I participated in this same race in Portland in 1999. I was in much better shape then, and completed that race in 26 minutes (thats a little over 8 minutes/mile). Today I did pretty well considering I am much heavier and less in "shape" than I was back then. I completed todays race (5/8/2010) in 30 minutes which is an even 10 minutes/mile. Not too shabby.
